The Challenge

Steyn City required long-term, integrated input across a vast and evolving development. The scale of the project meant that no single service could deliver the full vision. It needed coordinated expertise across design, construction, landscaping, maintenance and the supply of materials.

Our Approach

Golf Data involved almost every division of the group. From early golf- and landscape design input through construction, ongoing maintenance and sand supply, the project became a full group effort. The broader landscape vision was guided by Patrick Watson’s deep knowledge of indigenous planting (spending years collecting seeds from across the low and high-veld for this project), with Golf Data helping translate that vision into a landscape that could mature naturally over time.

The Outcome

Today, Steyn City is a major showcase of Golf Data’s cross-divisional capability. It demonstrates the group’s ability to work at scale, across disciplines and over many years helped create a mature, estate landscape.
