The Scope
Long-term golf course maintenance and agronomic management of a premium Cape golf course.
The Challenge
Pearl Valley sits in a demanding microclimate, with intense summer heat, cold winter conditions and strong wind. The course uses cool-season grasses, an unconventional choice in the Paarl climate, which offer excellent definition and playing quality but are difficult to maintain in extreme conditions.
Our Approach
Golf Data’s maintenance team applied specialist agronomic knowledge and long-term site experience to manage the course through seasonal changes. The work requires careful attention to turf health, water management, climate stress and daily course presentation.
The Outcome
Today, Pearl Valley stands as a strong maintenance showcase for Golf Data. The course continues to deliver high-quality playing surfaces in a climate where doing so requires skill, consistency and deep technical understanding.
